Holly's Story: "I’m beyond proud to be a part of it"

When I came to help on Tuesday night, my heart sunk when I seen how many families and young children were seeking refuge on one side of the room.

On the other side, a full crisis team set up. Not by the state, but by our people.

No plan, just people knowing they had to do something as lives were at stake. 

To say I was shocked by what I seen is an understatement, but to say I’m surprised would be a lie.

Anaka have always gone out of their way to help.

I’m beyond proud to be a part of it.
